3. Duties
   1. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the purchasing activities of the company.
   2. Develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget.
   3. Identify vendors and suppliers.
   4. Evaluate costs of goods and services.
   5. Oversee the negotiation of purchase contracts.
   6. Participate in the development of specifications for substitute materials.
   7. Review and process claims against vendors and suppliers.
   8. Interview, hire and oversee training of staff.

4. Duration: Full Time (Indeterminate)

5. Working time
   1. Full-time, minimum of 30 hours per week Monday to Friday (6 straight hours a day)

6. Workplace Location
   1. Moretti’s Head Office: 7899A Huntington Road, Vaughn, ON – L4L 1A5 – Canada.

7. Compensation
   1. Salary is Based on Expirience and Market Value for Position. The salary is reviewed on an annual basis.

8. Vacation
   1. The employee shall be entitled to vacations for 2 weeks per annum.

9. Start Date
   1. September 3, 2018 or as mutually agreed upon

Excavation Estimator

Seeking a self-motivated team player with a minimum of 5 years of experience within the bulk excavation and road building industry that is knowledgeable and proficient in roadway infrastructure with experience in heavy civil, and excavation. The candidate must be willing to challenge conventional thought and drive momentum towards preservation and recycling techniques to lower project cost and win bids through proactive value engineering. The candidate must be familiar with General Contracting and Municipal specifications and bid packages. 

Starting salary is based on experience. Continued salary will be based on value. Benefits include Health Insurance, Life Insurance, LTD insurance, vacation pay, and an annual profit sharing bonus’. 

Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and timely estimates
• Solicit and find bidding opportunities
• Create bidding opportunities by value engineering plans not spec’d with our services
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates
• Travel to job sites to inspect the existing conditions prior to building the estimate
• Collaborate with project management to ensure project success
• Track progress of all bids and bid results
• Analyze data to identify market opportunities

Qualifications:

• MUST have road building experience
• Excellent organizational, time management, and follow up skills
• Strong problem solving skills with solution orientated focus
• Team player with effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Proven commitment to project integrity and industry promotion
• Strong computer skills
• Friend of innovation
